Englisch aber komische Daten für ne beleuchtung

  • Hallo

    Cold Cathode lighting
    ""
I am not realy sure. I researched a tiny bit and found at best lights with 12 watts producing 989 Lumens
    have you found any higher?
If so put some more information up when you post next so that we may help more... find some specs and post them.
    Good luck

OK I did some digging around and I found some info if anyone want to read it:
Cold Cathode is a lamp in which light is produces by the passage of an electric current through gas or vapor. The majority of light comes from the positive column between the electrodes spacing at opposite end of the lamps. (Sounds like HPS, MH) Cold Cathode does not require heating above ambient temperature to produce light. (Unlike MH, HPS) Lamps are phosphor coated to emit various color temperatures. The life expectancy of cold cathodes ( if installed correctly) is about 20,000 hrs to 40,000 hrs.
It works on either AC or DC and is Night Vision Devices compatible.

As for actual lamps I found the standards which they are held to:
Lamps shall provide 650 lumens per foot(Tri-Phosphor warm white) 200 MA rated (Convertor).
Lamps shall not depreciate more than 10% after 10,000 hrs. of normal operation.

    Comes in these ranges:
    2800K Warm white
    3500K Soft white
    4500K Cool white
    5000K Ice white
    6500K Snow white
    7500K White
    8300K White

I can't find anywhere to actually buy these things where I can plug them in, they are for archeticural-commercial installation. I found a bunch for the the PC where you plug them into a PC power supply, but they dont tell you the watt/lumen/kelvin rating.

Also statt 989 Lumen dann 13xx lumen pro 12 Watt. das entspräche also 108 Lumen pro watt bei 8300 Kelvin.

    Hallo Michael,

    das ist relativ einfach:

P=U*I Leistung ist Spannung mal Stromstärke [W=A*V]

  • Hallo
