Hello, unfortunatly i don't speak german, i'm portuguese.
I usually follow the messages on this forum translating them to english in
google or bablefish.
I bought an H&S skimmer with two Eheim pumps. It´s the model A200-2X1260 external. The pumps work with the modified needle wheel impellor and strangely they
have metalic rings (gaskets) near the needle wheel propellor that are between the small rubber ends of the Eheim shaft and the propellor. I contacted H&S because
of this and they told me that the rings are made from a very high grade
metal that is inert in salwater and doens't rost.
A couple of days ago i opened the pumps for cleaning and i found what seems
to be rust (rost) in the metallic rings and in the shaft of the propellor.
H&S says it is not rost but i know what i see. Unless it is a substance that
looks exactly the same as rost.
I don't know anybody with a H&S skimmer here in Portugal or in english and american forums. I think i'm the only one here in Portugal with one H&S. In american and english forums, they don´t use this skimmers. But in Germany you do.
So i was trying to get some help from people who already have H&S skimmers
and to find if those people know something about this. If this is a comon
ocorrence i would be very reliefed but as i told you i don't know no one
with this skimmers.
Do you owners of H&S skimmers with Eheim pumps have those metallic rings arround the ceramic shaft? If so, do they get that kind of rost? Do you know what that is?
Here is a picture of the metallic rings with the kind of rost:

Thank you very much for all the help you can provide and sorry for not writing in german.
